Performances in Spain
2015 is off to a fantastic start for Laura Alonso Padín, who returns to her home country of Spain for featured performances at the Palacio de Congresos y Exposiciones de Galicia Santiago. First up is Bizet’s exotic Les pêcheurs de perles featuring Laura as Leila, the priestess caught in a love triangle with dramatic consequences. Juan Antonio Sanabria sings Nadir, Enrique Sanchez Ramos is Zurga, and David Cervera is Nourabad in this production, directed by Nayden Todorov. The performance takes place February 15.
Later this season she sings a benefit gala celebrating 20 years on stage at the Hostal de los Reyes Católicos on March 14, followed by a performance as Lauretta in Puccini’s ever-popular comedy Gianni Schicchi on April 19.
